E-mail Signature Instructions

  1. Haveyour africare.org Gmail account open
  2. Click the button in the upper right
  3. Click on Settings in the menu that appears
  4. If it is not already selected, click on the General tab
  5. Scroll down to the Signature row
  6. Ensure the button underneath “No Signature” is selected
  7. Select the font “Georgia” and the font size “Normal.”
  8. Enter your email signature in the format shown below (but using your personal information!), leaving two “shift + enters”** between your title and your address

**Gmail formatting can be weird! To move the cursor to the very next line, DON’T JUST PRESS “ENTER.” INSTEAD, HOLD DOWN “SHIFT” WHILEPRESSING “ENTER.” This places the cursor immediately below your current line. If you don’t, the cursor mayleave wide spaces between lines.

  1. Highlight “Facebook” and “Twitter” and use the button to link the words to respectively
  2. Move your cursor to the first blank space between your title and your address
  3. Click on the button to insert a picture
  4. Paste the following into the Image URL field:
  1. Click OK
  2. Click on the image and then click Large (this will make it a bit smaller)
  3. Ensure the box that says, “Insert this signature before quoted text in replies and remove the ‘--‘ that precedes it.” is checked.
  4. Scroll down to the bottom of the screen and click on Save Changes.
  5. Voila!

Your e-mail signature should appear as below:

Smart Phone E-mail Signature Instructions

Because your Africare e-mail signature does not automatically translate to e-mails sent from your Africare address via a smart phone, if you regularly use a smart phone to conduct business, set up a separate e-mail signature on your phone using the following simple structure:
