REPORTS TO: Life Recovery ServicesDirector
SUMMARY: The DWI and TDOEP Instructor/Administratoris responsible for implementation and programmatic compliance and fidelity of the State curriculum for BACODA’s DWI Education and TDOEP Education classes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: These duties include but are not limited to the following:
- Responsible for securing and maintaining the proper materials to provide the DWI Ed and TDOEP classes
- Responsible for setting schedule for DWI Edand TDOEP classes
- Responsible for ensuring that scheduled classes are set up and ready for the attendees
- Responsible for maintaining a roster for each class
- Responsible for maintaining all aspects of the classes to ensure fidelity to program and compliance
- Responsible for having attendees complete pre-test, post-test, and Numerical Drinking Profile for DWI ED classes and DAST evaluation for TDOEPclasses
- Responsible for mandatory exit interviews with class attendees
- Responsible for securing paperwork in locked file cabinet between & after classes (retention rate 3 years)
- Responsible for forwarding copies of certificates to the Department of Motor Vehicles
- Responsible for any audits by the State regarding BACODA’s DWI-Ed classes and TDOEP classes
- Responsible for maintaining Instructor status with the State
- Responsible for assisting in promotion of DWI-ED and TDOEP classes to the potential referral sources
- May be responsible for being a part of the Quality Management Team
- Other work relatedduties as assigned by the Life Recovery Services Director
- In addition to all the above duties, the Education Instructor/Administratoris responsible for carrying out all other work-related duties that may be assigned or needed to carry out the mission of the Bay Area Council on Drugs & Alcohol, Inc.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Must be certified by the State to administer and teach these class. Must be able to work with PowerPoint and media devices to provide presentation. Must be detail oriented and have documentation, communication and interpersonal abilities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and facilitate curriculum. Ability to document activities and report to supervisor. Ability to communicate with attendees. Ability to communicate with Judges and other marketing targets. Ability to listen.
REASONING ABILITY: Ability to maintain a calm professional environment while dealing with problem solving and group dynamics.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for periods of time, talk on telephone, work with a computer and projection screen, and travel to education sites.
