The Dutch Kidney Foundation (DKF) General Funding Conditions (‘'Subsidievoorwaarden Nierstichting Nederland'') apply to all awarded DKF subsidies as well as all proposals for DKF subsidies. Applicability of general and other conditions of the applicant, the applicant's institute and of third parties is explicitly excluded.
The execution of a DKF Call for proposals, selection of pre-proposals for full application and positive DKF grant award decisions are conditional on DKF revenues and budgetary means. The DKF explicitly reserves the right to cancel an initiated Call for proposals, to suspend a running procedure or to lower a grant amount in relation to earlier statements.

V. Patiëntenperspectief
De aanvraag zal ook worden beoordeeld door patiënt-beoordelaars van de Nierpatiënten Vereniging Nederland. Patiënt-beoordelingen worden ingebracht in de discussie in de Wetenschappelijke Raad. Deze paragraaf moet helder inzicht geven in de aanvraag voor deze beoordelaars. Het doelniveau van de teksten is de algemene bevolking.
Deze paragraaf graag invullen in het Nederlands. NB. In deze paragraaf wordt steeds gesproken van patiënten, de aanvraag kan echter ook betrekking hebben op donoren.
De patiënt-beoordelaars kijken naar de volgende aandachtspunten.
1. RELEVANTIE (BELANG) VAN HET ONDERZOEKSVOORSTEL vanuit patiëntenperspectief
a) Het onderzoek levert direct of indirect een bijdrage aan de kwaliteit van leven, de kwaliteit van zorg of de maatschappelijke participatie van de nierpatiënt. Het kan gaan om een bijdrage op korte of op lange termijn.
b) Indien 1a van toepassing in het onderzoek: In het onderzoek worden de kwaliteit van leven, de kwaliteit van zorg of de maatschappelijke participatie van de nierpatiënt gemeten.
c) Het beoogde resultaat is direct praktisch toepasbaar/bruikbaar voor of ten behoeve van de patiënt. Het kan gaan om de korte of de lange termijn.
d) Het onderzoeksonderwerp sluit aan bij behoeften die door nierpatiënten zijn geformuleerd.
e) Andere vragen over de relevantie van het onderzoek voor nierpatiënten.
2. KWALITEIT VAN HET ONDERZOEKSVOORSTEL vanuit patiëntenperspectief
a) De Nederlandse samenvatting is duidelijk.

b) De belasting van het onderzoek voor de patiënt is aanvaardbaar.
c) Individuele patiënten (proefpersonen) worden geïnformeerd over deelname aan en resultaten van het onderzoek.
d) Individuele patiënten (proefpersonen) worden ondersteund en begeleid gedurende het onderzoek.
e) Patiënten zijn op verschillende manieren betrokken bij het onderzoek.
f) Patiënten zijn betrokken bij verschillende fasen van het onderzoek.
g) Resultaten van het onderzoek worden ook gericht bekend gemaakt aan de doelgroep in het algemeen en het brede publiek.
h) Andere vragen over de kwaliteit van het onderzoeksvoorstel, inclusief de betrokkenheid van nierpatiënten.

Geef een heldere samenvatting van het voorgestelde project met een introductie van het onderwerp en de probleemstelling, eventueel vooronderzoek, hypothese van het onderzoek, methodes en vraagstelling. Omschrijf duidelijk de doelstelling van het project. Vul aan met belangrijke context waar nodig.
2. Relevantie voor de patiënt (max. 300 woorden)
Beschrijf in het kort op welke wijze dit project bijdraagt aan de (uiteindelijke) verbetering van de kwaliteit van zorg en leven of maatschappelijke participatie voor patiënten op korte en/of lange termijn.
3. Plan van aanpak (max. 800 woorden)
Beschrijf in eenvoudige woorden het plan van aanpak. Geef daarbij ook aan hoe de bovengenoemde verbetering voor de patient (of donor) wordt bepaald.
4. Inclusie van patiënten (max. 600 woorden)
• Beschrijf de patiëntenpopulatie (aantallen en eventuele controlegroep)
• Beschrijf de wijze waarop de benadering en inclusie gaat verlopen.
• Bespreek de te verwachten belasting voor de patient en hoe de reguliere behandeling van de patiënt beïnvloed wordt.
• Geef aan waar patiënten terecht kunnen met vragen over het onderzoek.
• Geef aan of METC toestemming noodzakelijk is.
