Durham Technical Community College - Associate Degree in Emergency Preparedness Technology and Business Continuity Certificate

Durham Technical Community College offers an Associate Degree in Emergency Preparedness Technology and a Business Continuity Certificate. The programswill prepare students to perform in a disaster by providing the necessary skills for mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.The curriculum is designed to provide students with a foundation of technical and professional knowledge needed for emergency services delivery in local and state government agencies and will involve management and technical aspects of law enforcement, fire protection, emergency medical services, and emergency planning.
Students will be involved in classroom and laboratory exercises and will develop technical and administrative skills such as investigative principles, hazardous materials, codes, standards, emergency agency operations, and finance.All courses are offered on-line.

Individuals completing the Business Continuity Certificate will be eligible to sit for the National Business Continuity Certification exam
