The cost of the camp site is £5.00 per person per night (including leaders/staff). Please enclose with the completed booking form a cheque made payable to Nottinghamshire County Council for the appropriate sum.

I hereby state that the above group is participating in the Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. I have notified Nottinghamshire County Council/my local operating authority/the Peak Expedition Panel * of this expedition. I agree to abide by the Nottinghamshire Education Department’s terms and conditions for use of the campsite which I have read.

HAGG FARM OUTDOOR EDUCATION CENTRE CAMPSITE

FOR USE OF HAGG FARM CAMPSITE

  1. All camp groups must be participating in the Gold Award.
  1. All groups must notify their operating authority of their route and have registered with the Peak Expedition Panel as necessary.
  1. Supervisors must hold the appropriate qualification/meet the requirements of the operating authority.
  1. The responsibility for the safe conduct of the expedition and the group’s use of the Hagg Farm campsite lies with the named supervisor of the expedition.
  1. The maximum number of young people that may camp on site at any one time is 20. For numbers over 10 the supervisor must also sleep on the site.
  1. The Hirer shall pay the charge requested by the Council. The Council reserves the right to adjust the hiring charge to cover an increase in a hiring charge which may occur between the date of the approved application and the date of the actual hiring. If the hirer cancels within 28 days of the camp a £25 charge will be applied unless the fee was less, if cancelled within 7 days no refund will be given.
  1. The Hirer shall ensure during the time these facilities are so used that all activities are conducted in an orderly manner and that the right to use the facilities s exercised quietly and in a manner unlikely to cause any annoyance or inconvenience or to become a nuisance to the owners or occupiers of any adjoining or neighbouring property or to the public or to other users of the facilities.
  1. The Hirer shall defray the cost of making good all damage caused to the premises or other property of the council which is in any way attributable to their use of the facilities.
  1. The Hirer shall indemnify the Council and keep it indemnified from and against all costs, charges, claims and demands for injury, loss or damage to persons or to property arising from the use of these facilities howsoever such injury, loss or damage may be caused unless due to any negligence on the part of the Council or their servants or agents.
  1. The facilities must be left at the end of the hiring in a reasonably clean and orderly condition.
  1. The Council does not accept any liability in respect of the parking of any vehicles at the premises connected in any way with the applicant or the letting of the premises during the hiring period.
  1. The Council accepts no liability for goods and personal effects left on its premises by the Hirer, his servants or agents, or by any user of the facilities.
  1. The Hirer agrees that this agreement is a personal agreement not capable of assignment which vests no legal estate in the Hirer whatsoever.
  1. The Hirer shall not erect any building or structure on the land without the County Council’s prior written consent.
  1. The Children’s Families and Cultural Services may cancel the hiring on occasions where it is of the opinion, for any reason whatsoever, that it would be potentially dangerous to allow the activity to continue and may refund the fee or rearrange the booking in this case.
  1. Where there are special conditions of hire relating to a particular activity the hirer must comply with those special conditions.
  1. In the event of a breach of any of the conditions of hiring (including any special conditions of hire relating to a specific activity) the Children’s Families and Cultural Servicesmay terminate the hire forthwith.
