An historic(al) palace of ancient origins

Due Torri Hotel in Saint Anastasia place has ancient origins. As from 14thcentury it was known as “Dall’Aquila Palace” and since 1674 it was already used as inn. Hand over more than once, in the half of 1800’s it was purchased by Arvedi family and changed in “Grand Hotel Imperiale”, becoming the most famous hotel in the city.In 18thcentury,Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Wolfgang Goethe stayed at Due Torri Hotel, whichwas also scene of important historical events, such as the coronation in exile of king Louis XVII of France and the signature of Villafranca treaty among Napoleon III, Vittorio Emanuele II, archduke Ranieri and marshal Radetzky.

In 1866 Due Torri Hotel hosted Giuseppe Garibaldi, who talked to Verona’s citizen from the balcony of the hotel, faced to Saint Anastasia place. After a series of facts, become also Ministries’ headquarters during SalòRepublic and at last returned to be a luxury hotel in 1959, thanks to Enrico Wallner.

Anotherchange of property

The historical Due Torri Hotel, for tradition the representative hotel of the city, has changed again its owner: the passage from Baglioni Hotels to Duetorrihotels Spa has been place in July 2010.

Duetorrihotels Spa owns also two luxury hotels in Bologna and in Florence and two business proprieties in Milano.

Novelties of 2012

The most important novelty of 2012 year concerns the modernization works that have involved almost all the 90 rooms of the Palace, which have been completely renewed and refreshed.

Classic rooms of Due Torri Hotel are furnished with authentic pecies of period furniture in Bidermeier or Impero style. The walls are covered in precious tapestries in vibrant colours. The floorings range from carpets that match the tapestries to hand-varnished parquets.

Each room is featured with style elements, such as Murano glass lamps and precious bedspreads. The pink marble bathrooms are all fitted with a bathtub with shower.

Deluxe rooms of Due Torri Hotel are filled with period furniture, with walls covered with precious tapestries in vibrant colours, with golden frames. The flooring ranges from carpets that match the tapestries, creating a pleasant, harmonious chromatic effect, to hand-varnished parquet.

6 Junior Suite

Junior Suites, furnished with classical-style furniture, have walls covered with precious tapestries in vibrant, harmonious tones with gilded frames. The floorings range from carpet to parquet. Each room features style details, with Murano glass lamps and precious bedspreads which recall a style of bygone eras.

The pink marble bathrooms, embellished with the mosaic marble frame of the large mirror, are all fitted with a bathtub with shower and a double washbasin inserted into the marble surface.

Luxury suites in the historical centre of Verona

Suites are in Bidermeier or Empire style, with authentic period furniture. The walls are covered with precious tapestries and the floorings range from carpets that match the tapestries, to hand-varnished parquet. Each room features style details such as chaise longues, full-length mirrors, sofas and Murano glass lamps.

Romeo e Giulietta Suite

The Romeo and Juliet suite takes its name from the two famous protagonists of the Shakespearian tragedy: it’s a large and light-filled space, filled with unique empire-style furniture, silk drapery in a delicate red tone and unique objets d’art.The walls are covered with precious tapestries and the floor is a precious hand-varnished parquet.

The atmosphere is cosy and intimate, with a welcoming sitting room which is separate from the double bedroom.

Maria Callas Suite

The Maria Callas suite is one of the most requested and takes its name from the famous opera singer who often stayed at the Due Torri Hotel during her performances at the Arena. The suite is elegantly furnished with a desk and comfortable sofa. The spacious, elegant bathroom is covered in precious Italian marble.

New Presidential Suite Sant’Anastasia

The new and exclusive Presidential Suite Sant’Anastasia will benefit from an amazing view on Sant’Anastasia place and its Imperial Style will represent the classic style of our Property.

The light neutral pastel colours of its walls, with a pearl grey wooden boiserie and its pearl grey or white coloured ceilings, are a perfect combination with the gold and black of the Imperial style.
