MATERIAL, MANUFACTURING & ORIGIN

Metal - Extruded Solid 316 Marine Grade Stainless Steel or Extruded Brass with the product made in Australia. Manufacturing shall be by CNC Formed with Engraved/Milled or Etched method of Type (if applicable) and completed to a mill finish.

Polymer - Thermoplastic Polyolefin Elastomer with a pigmented blend of Glass & Mineral Filled Nylons constructed with powerful Light Stabilsers (UV) and thermal binders with the product made in Australia. Manufacturing shall be conducted with an injection-molded method and completed to a mill finish

A Certificate of Origin from the Slip Prevention Product manufacturer shall be made available from DTAC or the equivalent Slip Prevention Product Company provider to authenticate the material integrity.

QUALITY ASSURANCE, TESTING AND COMPLIANCE

DTAC or the equivalent Slip Prevention Product Company must provide a documented quality assurance system for the product/s and its installations. This will include the following independent product testing:

SAMPLING

DTAC or the equivalent Slip Prevention Product Company must provide a demonstration sample/s of the product/s to be installed into the finished substrate/surface with the correct application method to be proven for the installation prior to the awarding of a contract.

PUBLIC, PRODUCT AND PROFESSIONAL INDEMNITY INSURANCES

As there will be much advice and consultation required for the project
in relation to Slip Prevention, DTAC or an equivalent Slip Prevention Product company must provide the following certificates of currency and maintain them for a minimum of 10 years after the works have completed:

– Public liability no less than $20,000,000
– Product liability no less than $20,000,000
– Professional indemnity and civil liability no less than $1,000,000

SITE NOTE – PROJECT SPECIFIC

DTAC or an equivalent Slip Prevention Product Company shall provide a documented site inspection prior to installation to determine the application and installation method is applicable to the substrate/surface specified prior to any commencement of installation works on this project.

WARRANTIES

In addition to the statutory requirements of the Australian Fair Trade Practices Act 1974 DTAC or the equivalent product company must present the following warranties and guarantees:

– An official signed ‘Statement of Compliance’ by a director of DTAC
or a director of an equivalent product company

– An official signed ‘Warranty’ by a company director of DTAC or a director
of an equivalent product company

– 2-year installation warranty (minimum)

– 10-year product warranty (316 Stainless Steel & Extruded Brass)

– 5-year product warranty (Polymer)

– DTAC or a director of an equivalent product company must provide
an option to extend their warranty and signed product guarantees.

MAINTENANCE

DTAC or an equivalent Slip Prevention Product Company must ensure their product and installation is supplied with a 12 month compliance inspection program for the ongoing certification with HB197 (1999) and the BCA for the length of the 2 year installation warranty. This will be to benefit the end user and their legal obligations of compliance with essential services requirements of the Building Code of Australia (BCA). Records must be kept with photographic documented evidence and made available on request.

CUSTOMER CARE

DTAC or an equivalent Slip Prevention Product Company shall submit their project specific customer care manual outlying daily, weekly, monthly and yearly inspections including any maintenance programmers to assist the building manager in maintaining a compliant TGSI installation. This will be submitted directly to the client or facility manager on the conclusion of the project. DTAC or an equivalent Slip Prevention Product Company must provide a customer care telephone line for the end clients ease of service given the essential services. Records must be kept and made available on request.

RECYCLING

DTAC or an equivalent Slip Prevention Product Company must have a documented reclamation and recycling policy so the product can be removed, refurbished, reinstalled or recycled. Appropriate certificates and membership with the Green Building Council of Australia and other organization will demonstrate a commitment to the environment in manufacturing, installation and reclamation. These certificates should be presented with the customer care manual to be supplied by DTAC or an equivalent product company.
