Recent publications include, ‘Employer Engagement: the new widening participation?’ in the Journal of Widening Participation and Lifelong Learning, StaffordshireUniversity (December 2008). Formerly the Programme Leader of Teesside University’s Work-based Studies Programme, she has a particular interest in developing such tailored programmes for employed learners. Ruth has also lectured and published widely in the field of English Studies.
