FI:RE 2008 CONFERENCE

Mark your calendars! FI:RE 2008 (Fueling Innovation: Reigniting Entrepreneurship) will be held at the Dryden Regional Training and Cultural Centre on Thursday,October 2nd and Friday,October 3rd. There will be an exciting group of keynote speakers this year, including;
RICK SPENCE
Business Strategist, Writer & “Growth Guru”
Rick Spence is a Toronto-based writer, speaker and marketing consultant who specializes in helping entrepreneurs grow their businesses. His clients include government and economic-development agencies, professional service companies, marketing firms, manufacturers and software developers.
Spence is the long-time former editor and publisher of PROFIT, The Magazine for Canadian Entrepreneurs. He currently writes regular columns on entrepreneurship and related issues for the National Post, PROFIT and MoneySense magazines. He has also been published recently in the Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail, and Corporate Knights and Alberta Venture magazines.
As a speaker, Spence specializes in presentations that get people excited about the untapped opportunities in their businesses and motivates them to strive for excellence, quality and results. He is also a sought-after emcee for business functions and award events.
He wrote the first Canadian book on growth business (Secrets of Success from Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies, published by John Wiley & Son, 1997) and is now working on the much-requested sequel. His weblog, Canadian Entrepreneur (canentrepreneur.blogspot.com), is must reading for Canadian business owners.
