Downloading from Google and Uploading to Sky Drive

First of all you needto access your Google Apps account and go to your Google Drive:

Next you need to select all of the documents you wish to transfer over. To do this you must click on the “More” button on the left hand side:

After you have clicked “More” this should then appear:

Then you must click on all items, this will then show you, all of your items including shared and your own. Now click on the square at the top of the page:

You can now go through and tick all the documents you do not wish to transfer. Once you have the documents you would like to move then click on the “More” button at the top of the page and click download:

Once you have clicked Download this screen should appear:

Please ensure the documents you are exporting are in the format that you would like to view them in.

Once you have downloaded your files they should be in a .Zip file in your My Documents->Downloads folder.

Next go to your download folder and create a new folder and name it Google Apps back-up. Then drag and drop the zip file into the newly created folder. Afterwards you then right-click on the .zip file and click extract all, follow the on screen instructions and it will create a similar looking folder with the same name next to it.

Now you need to sign into your SkyDrive, you do this by going to and signing in with your Office 365 login.

Once you have signed in you will then have access to your Sky Drive which is located at the top of the screen:

After you click on SkyDrive you can import your files as needed so by opening up your newly created Google back up folder and SkyDrive together you can import your files or individually upload them when you need them. Note: folders cannot be uploaded but can be created and you can then drag your files into each individual folder.

To import all of your files in one go simply go to the folder, select all of your documents and drag and drop into the SkyDrive:

Now you have successfully got your Google Apps documents into your SkyDrive.
