Downloading and activating a Mobile Token
In this video we’ll show you how easy it is to activate a Mobile Token.
Before we start though, make sure you have access to your activation email, SMS code and of course have your smartphone handy.
To activate your Mobile Token, there are two methods you can use.
If you’re using an activation email on your desktop computer, use Method one.
For email activation on your mobile phone, you need to use Method two.
Let’s start with Method one.
Firstly, visit your phone’s App Store, search for NAB Connect and then tap ‘Install’ to install the NAB Connect Authenticator App.
Once downloaded to your phone, tap the app icon to launch the App.
Tap the ‘Activate’ button and then tap ‘Start Activation’ button on the next screen.
You’ll then need to scan the QR code in your activation email on your computer.
Your NAB Connect Authenticator App will automatically start your smartphone’s QR Reader App.
If you’re using an Android phone, tap the ‘Scan QR Code’ button to begin the scan.
You’ll then need to scan the QR code in you activation email either on screen or from a printed sheet.
Once the QR code has been scanned, you’ll need to enter the SMS activation code that you received earlier.
Enter the code as requested and tap continue button.
You’ll then be asked to create a four digit PIN. Enter your PIN and then confirm the PIN by entering it again.
Your device will then take a few seconds to activate.
NAB will present you with a page about PIN security. Please read it carefully and tap the ‘I understand’ button to continue.
Your NAB Connect Authenticator App is ready to start generating one-time passwords and to login to NAB Connect.
Now we’ll take a look at the Method two.
In your smartphone’s Email App, locate the NAB Connect Mobile Token Activation email and tap either the ‘Apple App Store’ or the ‘Google Play Store’ button.
Then tap ‘Install’ to install the NAB Connect Authenticator App on your phone.
Return to the NAB Connect Mobile Token Activation email and tap on ‘Tap to activate the App on this device’ link.
Once the App launches, tap the ‘Activate’ button and then tap ‘Start Activation’ button on the next screen.
You’ll then need to enter the SMS activation code that you received earlier.Enter the code as requested and tap ‘Continue’ button.
You’ll then be asked to create a four digit PIN. Enter your PIN and then confirm the PIN by entering it again.
Your device will then take a few seconds to activate.
NAB will present you with a page about PIN security. Please read it carefully and tap the ‘I understand’ button to continue.
Your NAB Authenticator App is ready to start generating one-time passwords to login to NAB Connect.
