The Intermountain Iyengar Yoga Association has a limited amount of funds to apply toward teacher training in the Iyengar method of yoga. These scholarship pay half of the required tuition for the program offered by any teacher training program in the IMIYA region. These scholarships do not include the cost of transportation, lodging, meals or other expenses related to the training. The applicant is required to secure a spot in the training program before you can apply for a scholarship. Those chosen to receive the funds will be reimbursed for half of their tuition fees.

° Return the application to or mail it to the following address:

° Applications must be received by October 31, 2016 for consideration. Any application received after that date is not eligible.

Requirements:

° Applicant must be a member of IMIYA in good standing at the time of application. All dues

must be paid

° Applicants must be able to demonstrate dedication to Iyengar Yoga and to pursuing full

certification as an Iyengar teacher

° Applicants must be willing and able to demonstrate a financial need

° Applicant must be already registered in the teacher training program.

Guidelines for selection:

° Recipients may receive only one scholarship from IMIYA

° Members of the Scholarship Committee and IMIYA board members are not eligible for

Scholarships

° Financial need and dedication to the method will be assessed by the Scholarship Committee

Process of selection:

° Selection will be by all or a portion of the Scholarship Committee. The selection process will

not be blind. That means the committee members will see your name and address. However,

all information will be completely confidential.

° If multiple candidates are eligible, the recipient(s) will be chosen based on financial need and

readiness for teacher training.

° Applicants will be notified no later than December 31, 2016
