Double T ArcheryClub Membership Application

Purpose of Double T Archery Club: "To foster, expand, and perpetuate the practices of field archery and the spirit of good fellowship among all archers, to expand the use of the bow in all legal hunting, to support and promote favorable publicity and legislation with respect to conservation and archery, and to cooperate with and support the Western New York and State Field Archery Associations.” (TT Archery Constitution, Article I)

Events: Double T always has something going on for members and guests. Each Fall, we hold our two-day Harvest Shoot and nighttime raccoon shoot. We hold our annual two-day Cabin Fever Shoot in the winter. We have a Winter Indoor League,. We hold WNYFAB field archery shoots throughout the spring and summer, and an outdoor field archery league on Thursday nights during the spring/summer. Events include a Winter Picnic with novelty shoots. a Spring Banquet complete with Karaoke and Dancing, our annual Gun Raffle fundraiser, and more. Come join us for a great time.

Memberships and Fees:

Individual Membership - $70.00 dues per year, paid in April. Dues are prorated for the first year of membership. Initiation fee of $25.00 must accompany first year dues. This membership allows full use of the club and all club facilities.

Family Membership - $80.00 dues per year ($10 addl. to cover additional insurance expense)

Trial Membership: - $35 dues (June-August. only). One time only, can be applied toward full membership dues until Jan. 1 of the following year. Night time use is allowed only when accompanied by a full club member. Use of the tree stand and other "special" targets is prohibited.

Membership Obligations: Each membership is assessed $20 for a gun raffle ticket to support our annual fundraiser. Each membership is required to complete a minimum of ten (10) work hours per year. Work opportunities are available year round, posted at the club and prior to all club events/functions. Please contribute your time and talents to benefit your club.

******Applicants for individual or family membership must attend a regularly scheduled club meeting where they will be interviewed. Meetings are held on the first Monday of everymonth at 7:00 PM.If unable to attend a meeting, you will be required to obtain the signatures of 3 Officers or Board Members of theclub, verifying their having approved your application. For a trial membership, the fee must accompany the application. For individual and family membership, include the $25.00 initiation fee with your application. Complete and sign this application and give it to a club officer or board member or mail it to the Club Treasurer at Double T Archery Club, PO Box 1883, Amherst, NY 14226. ********

Club SafetyRules

  1. All trails are ONE WAY (never walk backwards on trails).
  2. Shoot only from trails on field courses.
  3. Remove target faces from bails WHEN LOOKING FOR LOST ARROWS. If there are two sets of bails, removeALL target faces. Never shoot at any butt without target faces.
  4. If there are shooters waiting to shoot when you are looking for arrows for more than 5 minutes, please let them shoot through.
  5. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES on the practice range or on the courses.
  6. No shooting of wildlife on club property.
  7. Children are not allowed on the practice range or courses without Parental Supervision at ALL TIMES.
  8. On the practice range, you must shoot from yard markers.
  9. Drawing a nocked arrow at an angle above the target is dangerous because of possible premature release. Always aim at the target when drawing your arrow.
  10. Never cut or trim trees without the permission ofa club officer.
  11. No fires are permitted. Except in the fire pot by the clubhouse.
  12. Please obey the posted speed limit sign on the road and 5 mph in our parking lot.
  13. Courtesy is a good safety practice ... If you don't think it's safe, DON'T DO IT.
  14. If someone is doing something that is UNSAFE, DO NOT HESITATE TO POLITELY TELL THEM. If they persist, please notify a club officer.
  15. DO NOT TAKE OR SHOOT BROADHEADS ON THE PRACTICERANGE OR COURSES! Shoot your broadheads from the Shooting Platform or broadhead range in front of the clubhouse only.
  16. Please use the safety belts on the shooting platform. No more than 3 people on the platform at onetime. Guests must be accompanied by a member in good standing.
  17. No horseplay on club grounds.
  18. No firearms are to be used on club grounds.
  19. Tap water at club is not drinkable. Water jugs and bottles in refrigerators contain fresh drinking water.

For Your Information

  1. Please do not litter. Always make SAFETY your NUMBER ONE PRIORITY.
  2. Please turn off all appliances and lights in the clubhouse when finished using them. If you turned. the heat up, reset it to the original temperature, Be sure to set the alarm system and secure the Clubhouse.
  3. It is a courtesy to return all arrows found on Club Property to the arrow barrel in the clubhouse.
  4. Please be courteous to your fellow Members, Guests, and Fellow Archers.
