DOCTOR OF MINISTRY (D.Min.)

Doctor of Ministry is a professional degree program for Christian leaders and the congregations and agencies they serve. The program is designed to foster the spiritual and theological growth of individual students and to develop their organizational and analytical skills and understanding.

Requirements for Dissertation:

  1. D.Min dissertations are 10,000 word submission.
  2. Approximately 80 pages in length.
  3. All work should be type-written, double-spaced.
  4. All pages should be numbered, centered at the bottom.
  5. A table of contents is required at the beginning of the submission
  6. A complete bibliography should be at the end of the submission
  7. The submission should be on a subject presented by the student and approved by the review board of CumberlandUniversity.
  8. All dissertations become the property of CumberlandUniversity.

DOCTOR OF RELIGIOUS PHILOSOPHY (D.R.P)

When a student has completed 62 credits beyond the Master’s level through CU and completes a dissertation of 12,000 words a Doctor of Bible Philosophy or Theology will be awarded. Transfer credit is not accepted into the Doctoral program. All course work must be done through CU.

Doctor of Christian Counseling (D.C.C)

Purpose: The doctor of Christian counseling degree provides intensive training in the Christian counseling method. The curriculum centers on counseling techniques based on the biblical world view. This program is primarily for enhancement of the counseling ministry and is not intended for secular certification.

Credit Requirements: The students is required to complete a total of 58 credits, Christian education research project will be required for completion. This program is a directive study. Upon reenrollment, academic advisors will assess the candidate’s background and provide a specific academic program.
