Dear Treasurers,

January 12, 2010 Glen Yancey, KDOR Technical Architect and one of the Executive Sponsors of the DMV Project will plan to meet with any of you and your county software providers or in-house IT resources regarding your current technical environment and help you to determine what your county needs will be for equipment, allocations and refreshment of current vehicle related equipment as we move forward with the DMV Project. This meeting was not a part of the Fall Vehicle Training held in Topeka September 28. Please note there are two separate agendas for this January 12 meeting.

9A -10A -- County update with Glen Yancey. Glen will discuss the landscape of technical changes regarding the new DMV applications and specific information you may require for your county.

10A -12N -- DMV Modernization Common Third Party Interface Requirements Session

1.  Introduction of KDOR Technical Manager and Interface Design Team lead

2.  Review existing VIPS data file layout

3.  Walk through of form for you to complete with descriptions of how you use each field and frequency you use it

4.  Open discussion about how the DMV Project will use this information to document current requirements

5.  Next steps for designing future interface

Who should attend the 10A session? Technical people familiar with file layouts and the programs that use this data, project managers responsible for managing any changes (including County in-house Information Technology staff who use this data to interface with other county systems).
