· Welcome & Meeting Minutes
· We will go over March’s minutes next month along with April’s
Business Items
· Registration Update
· Last month at 535 now at 564
· Last year was 625 total
· We are where we were two seasons ago, last year could have been an aberration, this year have been affected by more focused adherence to boundaries
· Financial Report
· Waiting on big ticket items to trickle in…fields and uniforms
· $800 budgeted for umpires and uniforms
o Do we want to get each kid their own shin guards, masks, etc. or just get a few loaners
o Will supply hats and shirts
o Alan feels the loaners will work
o Alan to put a set up at EGP, Tyee, NHP and LCP
o Umpires NW wants to know if we are going to use them?
§ Emmy Park and Sandra Koo stepped up to coordinate umps, so we anticipate scheduling to go better
§ We may not need individual team umpire coordinators
· Will be taking money out of the CD which is maturing soon and moving into the money market, there is no significant advantage to keeping the CD open at the extremely low interest rate, and it ties up the money
· Fields
· Eastgate was redone and looking great
· Uniforms
· Waiting on the A and AA uniforms should be in this week and then tball will come in
· Larry to send sponsor list before opening day
· Equipment
· Bellevue West gave us permission for us to use their mound which they placed behind our box at Tyee
o This will help for days we are using both the MP field AND baseball field
o In exchange we offered use of our breakaway bases
o Larry will put lock box with green box key inside for their use during season so they may access our box
· Opening Day
· Every team has picked up their opening day packets
· Still can use a few more items for raffles, so far we have:
o iPad mini, MS Youth Experiences (silent auction), baseball camps (silent auction), M’s tickets, Little Johns, Mustard Seed, Seahawks memorabilia, Stod’s batting cage time, a week of camp at Bellevue College, Apple market, Cupcake Royale
· Several vendors will be in attendance, in addition to some of our sponsors:
o Jamba juice , DJ’s, Monster, Toyota, Overlake Ortho, Sports Authority
· Still need help:
o Someone to help with the speech…hometown hero
o Volunteers for several of tables and would love some kids to help with this
o 12-15 folding tables and a truck to transport
· Mark Aucutt is returning as the MC
· We will do a memorial to Theo Ziebart, who passed away late last year, he was a great representation of how Little League is for everybody. Theo’s parents will be in attendance, and his mom Nancy (who leads the choir at Skyline) will bring some of the choir singers to perform the national anthem
· Larry to send Kari list of teams for opening day
· Jett Goforth to return as mascot
· Safety
· Every team has a travel first aid kit
· Melinda will follow up with some softball teams that need them
Baseball/Softball Discussions

· Jackson Roos Tourney (Majors level over Memorial Day weekend)
o Jay thought maybe we could get one team to go

o District 9 keeps moving things earlier
o Hosting Majors
o Larry proposes between now and next board meeting we hash out how the teams will be chosen
o Should we promote Game Changer for each team to have one parent do this to help with stats for all-star selection time?
§ Larry to contact Gamechanger to see about using for all of our league, mainly for coast and majors, would there be a reduced price?
