Film making competition! - The Into Film: Into Space & Home project is now live and the competition is open to entries. Budding young filmmakers can enter this out-of-this-world competition by creating short films inspired by space exploration and Tim's stellar mission, so grab your phones, tablets, iPads, or cameras and start filming your space-inspired shorts! Please go to for lots of great resources to help you start filmmaking. The Into Film: Into Space & Home competition is organised into 12 and Under and 13 and Over age categories. Three entries will be shortlisted for each age category, and all entrants will receive a certificate and be entered into a lottery for the chance to attend a special UK Space Agency event. S1-S4 Christmas Dances. The Christmas dances will be held next week. Monday is for S1’s, Tuesday for S2’s, Wednesday for S3’s and Thursday for S4’s. As always students will be released from their P4 class at 12:30 to allow them time to get changed for the dance and get some lunch. A tuck shop will be available at the dance so please remember to bring along some pennies for some festive treats.

School Catchment Consultation The Moray Council is currently carrying out a consultation on proposals to vary the catchment areas of Bishopmill, Lhanbryde, Linkwood, Seafield and West End Primary Schools, Elgin Academy, Elgin High School, and Milne’s High School. The statutory consultation period last until Friday 20 January 2017. All pupils are entitled to be consulted. Detailed information and response forms are available on request from the school office. Farmers Market - 1 WEEK TO GO!!!! The farmers market is happening one week today, remember to bring some money along for hot chocolates, chutneys, jams, cupcakes, ice-cream and much more!!!
Orchestra - Well done to all members of the orchestra – you were brilliant on Monday night! Orchestra will resume on Monday 16th January – have a lovely holiday!
Brass players - Can we please have a rehearsal on Thursday 15th at 1.10 in Y06 to practice for the farmers market. All brass players welcome.

December’s Film Club – The Maze Runner
Don’t forget this opportunity, to see The Maze Runner, an exciting sci-fi thriller, in the library on Monday, from 3.30pm. The Film Club is free, open to all, with bean bags provided. Bring your own snacks and be entertained

S1 dodgeball tournament, Thursday lunchtimes at 1pm in the games hall. A good opportunity to make new friends, create your own teams and win prizes. Remember to take your P.E kits, please come along.

Senior Christmas Masquerade Ball – Wednesday 14 December 7.30 – 10pm
S5/6 Christmas dance tickets will be on sale form Monday 28th November, priced £5. The S6 social committee will be coming around registration classes so please have your money at the ready. The deadline for purchasing tickets is Friday 9th December. Tickets will also be available I Mrs Mays room (B53) on Thursday lunchtimes.
