Definitions

The trainee is you, the person being assessed. You may also be referred to as the learner, student, candidate or employee in some instances.
The assessor is the person who will assess you.
The verifier is a workplace supervisor, team leader, manager or assessor who understands the assessment, works closely with you and can confirm that you have completed a task competently.
Organisational requirements– instructions to candidates on policies and procedures which are documented in memo or manual format. These requirements include but are not limited to – site-specific requirements and any quality management requirements.
Hazardous substance– any substance that has one or more of the following properties (explosive, flammable, ability to oxidize, corrosiveness, toxicity, eco-toxicity) when above specified levels. A hazardous substance can have more than one hazardous property such as petrol which is flammable and toxic.
