Writing Partners
UVM Writing Center Bailey Howe Library
Why ask for a Writing Partner? Ask for a writing partner if you plan on using the Writing Center frequently. This program allows you to meet weekly with the same tutor, rather than starting over with a different person each time you come to the Center.
How can I sign up for the program and get a writing partner?
1. Send an email to Sheila Boland Chira (), the Writing Center Director), with "Writing Partner Request" in the subject line of the email. The email message should include
- Your name and year in school
- Your Email address and phone number
- What classes you are taking that require writing
- Why you would like a writing partner
- All the times you're available to meet with a tutor when the Writing Center is open:
(Mon-Thurs 10am–9pm, Fri 10am–5pm, Sun 6–9pm)
- Any additional information
OR
2. Complete the application form below, and then drop the completed form off at 302 Bailey/Howe Library (when you get to the third floor, just follow the signs to Writing in the Disciplines). If Sheila is in her office, she can meet with you to choose a partner.
