08/25/16 / Project Ideas / Turn in at least 3 ideas that you would consider doing & turn it in to me so that we can decide on a final idea. 10
09/1/16 / Science finalization document / Complete this form for the experiment that has been approved by me. Please remember that you cannot begin your experiment until you have submitted a parental consent form and the Science finalizationdocument has been approved. 10
9/6/16 / Rough Draft of: / Title, Question, and Hypothesis for your experiment. This information should be written in your Science Fair Experiment Composition Book. 10
9/6/16 / Start Experiments / Start experiments (Remember you have to do it a minimum of two times) Only if you have turned in forms 1, 1A, & 1B.
9/20/16 / Rough Draft of: / Report with Bibliography in APA format.
Specifications: Your final report must be a minimum of 2 pages in length, double-spaced, typed using no larger than 12 font with a separate Bibliography page attached. (Minimum of 5 cited sources and they must be varied; not all websites) 10
9/23/16 / 1st Log book check:
Rough Draft of: / Procedures & Materials written inside your Science Fair Experiment Composition Book. 10
10/19/16 / 2nd Log book check:
Final Draft of: / Title, question, hypothesis, procedure and materials written or typed (glued in if typed) into your Science Fair Experiment Composition Book. 10
10/25/16 / 3rd Log Book Check / I will be looking inside your Science Fair Experiment Composition Book for your data collected, drawn illustrations, tables, etc. 10
10/27/16 / Final Draft of: / Typed report with bibliography (min. 3 pages) 10
11/1/16 / Final Log Book Check / Documentation of the scientific process for your experiment should be written inside your Science Fair Experiment Composition Book. I will be looking for a title, question, purpose, materials, procedure, observations (data collected/results), conclusion, and a reflection. 10
11/1/16 / Display Boards due / Standard (not mini) tri-fold board 10
11/1/16 / Entire project due: / 3 grades received & averaged for 9wk pre-ap project
1st grade – entire process 100 total pts = 100%
2nd grade – research paper
3rd grade – oral presentation with science board
