Research Training in Infection and Immunity FY2015 Application
To apply for a stipend through the Research Training in Infection and Immunity T32 for FY2015, please complete the application process by June 20, 2014. The candidate (after discussion with their mentor for some items) should provide the following:

Laboratory-based clinical research with enrollment into the CSTP
Clinical research trials and clinical epidemiology research with enrollment into the CSTP or the MPH Program
Global health research with enrollment into the Certificate in Tropical Medicine course and enrollment into either the CSTP or MPH Program.
Research Proposal:Attach a one-page research proposal, which summarizes the studies to be completed during training, formatted with each margin at 0.5 inch, Arial 11 font and 12 points between lines.
Mentor’s Statement:Attach a summary (up to one page) of the mentorship plan, specific resources that will be available to the candidate, including supplies and services, and delineate how these expenses will be covered over the duration of the candidates training in the mentor’s lab. Please format as above.

Submission Process: This form, the Research Proposal, Mentor’s Statement and biosketches should be converted to pdf files, combined and sent as a single document to by June 20, 2014.
If accepted into the program,the trainee agrees to meet the following expectations:
-Commit 75% or more of their time to research training efforts while supported by the NRSA.
-Finalize formation of a Research Committee within the first quarter of year one with input from the T32 Director.
-Present his/her research progress at least twice yearly to their Committee either as a separate presentation or as a presentation to the Infectious Diseases Research-in-Progress Seminar Series or other research seminar series attended by research committee members. This presentationalso will be attended by either the Director or Co-Director.
-Provide to the T32 Director a yearly evaluation of the research mentor and his/her research environment.
-Obtain a MS or MPH degree.
-Publish two or more first-authored papers in high-impact journals.
-Submit a K23, K08 or other Career Development Award.
