REGION 7 (COLORADO) 700 MHz PUBLIC SAFETY
REGIONAL PLANNING COMMITTEE TO HOLD MEETING
The Region 7 (Colorado) 700 MHz, 4.9 GHz and State Interoperability Executive Committee (SIEC) Public Safety Regional Planning Committee will hold its next meeting on Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at the State of Colorado Emergency Management Office, 9195 East Mineral Avenue, Suite 200, Centennial, Colorado.
The agenda for the meeting includes:
- Status on 700 MHz plan preparation and submission;
- Discussion and work on the Region’s 4.9 GHz plan;
- Discussion and work on the 700 MHz SIEC plan (for administration of the 2.6 MHz of interoperability spectrum); and
- Reports from Core and Frequency Committees, plus all other related matters.
The Region 7 700 MHz/4.9 GHz and SIEC Public Safety Regional Planning Committee meeting is open to the public. All eligible public safety providers whose sole or principal purpose is to protect the safety of life, health, or property in Region 7 may utilize these frequencies. It is essential that public safety agencies in all areas of government including state, municipality, county, and Native American Tribal, and non-governmental organizations eligible under Section 90.523 of the Commission’s Rules, be represented in order to ensure that each agency’s future spectrum needs are considered in the allocation process. Administrators who are not oriented in the communications field should delegate someone with this knowledge to attend, participate and represent their agency’s needs.
All interested parties wishing to participate in the planning for the use of public safety spectrum in the 700 MHz band or the 4.9 GHz band within Region 7 should plan to attend.
