PRESENTATIONS AND PUBLICATIONS
Throughout his career, Mr. Henningson has made dozens of presentations to professional, regulatory, and public groups. In recognition of his industry leadership, the Hazardous Waste Action Coalition asked him to testify before the United States Congress on reauthorization of the Superfund law (1985), and the Consulting Engineers Council of New Jersey asked him to represent it before the New Jersey Legislature on the subject of liability limitations for hazardous waste contractors (1986). March 1998. Federal and State Workshop on Managing Hg Cell Chlor-alkali Facilities, Boston, Massachusetts. As an invited guest, Mr. Henningson made a presentation on natural recovery evaluations for contaminated sediments at the site of a chlor-alkali plant on the Whatcom Waterway, Washington.
March 1998. New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, New Jersey. Mr. Henningson participated in a panel discussion on the conservation and reuse of materials at brownfield sites as part of the Institute’s graduate program in toxics and hazardous wastes.
May 13-14, 1997. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency National Conference on Management and Treatment of Contaminated Sediments, Cincinnati, Ohio. As an invited guest, Mr. Henningson co-authored a paper that addressed research into chemical extraction as a means of processing dredged material.
April 17, 1997. Professional Engineering Society, Monmouth County, New Jersey. Mr. Henningson’s address summarized dredging solutions for the Port of New York and New Jersey.
April 1997. Long Island Sound, Dredged Sediment Management Study, Alternatives Workshop, Milford, Connecticut. Mr. Henningson was invited to participate in the workshop and gave presentations on confined disposal sites and the beneficial reuse of dredged sediments.
April 8, 1997. New Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, New Jersey. Mr. Henningson participated in a panel discussion on managing dredged material in the Port of New York and New Jersey as part of the Institute’s graduate program in toxics and hazardous wastes.
January 1997. New York Water Environment Association, New York City, New York. Mr. Henningson presented a paper on the feasibility of using dredged material for landfill closure.
November 1996. Maritime Association of the Port of New York and New Jersey, New York City, New York. Mr. Henningson participated in a panel discussion of chemical treatment processes for dredged material.
