Lack of Faith

Part Two

18. “Therefore, since we have such hope, we use great boldness of speech-unlike Moses, who put a veil over his face so that the children of Israel could not look ______at the end of what was passing away.” 2Cor3:12-13

19. “For if the ministry of condemnation had glory, the ministry of righteousness exceeds much more in glory. For even what was made glorious had no glory in this ______, because of the glory that excels.” 2 Cor 3:9-10

20. “For if what is passing away is glorious, what remains is much more glorious.” 2 Cor 3:11

21. “But even to this day, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart. Nevertheless when one turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is ______.” 2 Cor 3:15-17

22. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being ______into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” 2Cor3:18

This of course is referring to the Jews. (vs14) “But their minds were blinded. For until this day the same veil remains un-lifted in the reading of the Old Testament…” Unbelief “blinded their minds.”

23. “You will say then, ‘branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.’ Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by Faith. Do not be ______, but fear.” Rom11:19-20

24. “For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either. Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God; on those who fell, severity, but toward you, goodness, if you ______in His goodness, Otherwise you also will be cut off.” Rom11:21-22

The Word of God speaks of seeing, hearing, feeling, tasting. Unbelief (evil principles within) puts a veil upon our hearts and dulls our spiritual sensibilities.

It paralyzes our power of appropriating deep spiritual blessings for our souls.

Who has a veil today? Those that receive not “The love of truth.”

25. “…and with all unrighteous deception among those who ______, because they did not receive the love of the truth that they may be saved.” 2Thess2:10

E. The Lack of Faith Robs Us of Power.

26. “Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, ‘Why could we not cast it out? So Jesus said to them, ‘Because of your unbelief, for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ’Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” Matt17:19-20

God wants us to have power with Him.

27. “Behold, I give you the authority to trample on serpent and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

Lk10:19

28. “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” Acts1:8

Lack of Faith Causes Us to Depart From God.

29. “Beware, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief in departing from the living God;…” Heb3:12

Here is the crux, the climax of the whole matter, an “evil heart of unbelief.” The others are outposts, This is the stronghold!

Lack of faith is deeper than our wills:

30. “_____ me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my anxieties; and see if there is any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Ps139:23-24 We must seek God until the Holy Spirit reveals the hidden sin.

F. Lack of Faith Brings Condemnation

31. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.” Jn3:18

32. “It is good neither to eat meat nor drink wine nor do anything by which your brother ______or is offended or is made weak. Do you have faith? Have it to yourself before God. Happy is he who does not condemn himself in what he approves. But he who doubts is condemned if he eats, because he does not eat from faith; for whatever is not from faith is sin.”

Rom14:21-23

Conclusion:

33. “Immediately the father of the child cried out and said with tears, ‘Lord, I believe; help my unbelief!’” Mk 9:24
