2016 SCHOLARSHIP INSTRUCTIONS
Scholarships available (quantities may change at the discretion of committee):
Up to $25,000 to be divided into $500, 1000 or $2000 or other scholarship amounts.
BASIC REQUIREMENTS
- Student must be a resident of Merced or MariposaCounties or an active member or child of an active member of Merced-Mariposa Cattlemen’s Association that does not live in Merced or MariposaCounties. They must be a graduating senior or an enrolling college freshman.
- A personal interview may be requested. You will be contacted so that a meeting can be arranged with the Scholarship Committee.
- Applicant must be planning a career in agriculture, have a major in Agriculture and be enrolled within one calendar year at a community college or four-year college or university.
- Must have maintained a high school GPA of 2.5 or higher.
- After being awarded a scholarship, mail proofs of enrollment to Suzy Hultgren-Pimentel, 8244 W. Palm, Winton, CA 95388
- All Scholarship payments will be made directly to the recipient upon receipt of Proof of Enrollment.
- Deadline for applications accompanied by two letters of recommendation by April1, 2016. All applications are to be typed. Additional information can be included on separate pages. A portfolio can be provided but is not required. An official sealed transcript for grades 9 – 12 needs to be provided.
- Student must attend college within one calendar year of receiving notice of scholarship.
