Accessing Your CompClass Course
for Kennedy, Kennedy, and Muth’s
The Bedford Guide for College Writers, Eighth Edition
Bedford/St. Martin’s
You can access CompClass in one of two ways:
OPTION 1. In an access code card that you get in your bookstore, either as a stand-alone or purchase you make or by having the card packaged with another Bedford/St. Martin's product at a discount.
OPTION 2. As an online purchase directly from Bedford/St. Martin's. Most students who buy direct do so when they don't need the package or aren't asked to use a package. Buying direct from Bedford/St. Martin's offers savings over buying a stand-alone card from a bookstore.
This short flyer explains how each option works.
In either case, you'll either register your code or purchase access by going to the
following URL: www.yourcompclass.com
OPTION 1. Register a code printed on an access card purchased at your bookstore, either as a standalone product or as part of a package.
Make sure to save and keep the card. If it's part of a package, don't throw it out by mistake. The card will directions you need to register the code contained it. When you go to the URL above, choose "Students Register Your Code", scroll down until you find CompClass for The Bedford Guide 8e, click “Register Your Code”, and follow the simple directions.
OPTION 2: You want to purchase your access directly from Bedford/St. Martin's.
1. Visit www.yourcompclass.com and click on “STUDENTS PURCHASE ACCESS TODAY”.
2. Scroll down until you find CompClass for The Bedford Guide 8e. Then click “Purchase Access”.
3. Select the state or province where your institution is located from the drop-down menu. Then, select your institution and then your course (from the drop down menus)**. Click
4. Complete the registration form, including your first and last name, and email address. Create a username and password for yourself that you easily remember for use throughout the term. Click
5. Enter your payment information including name as it appears on the credit card, card number, expiration
date, and billing address. Click and confirm all account information. Click
6. Once you have confirmed payment and placed your order, you will see a screen that says “Thank You,”
and confirms your name, email address, username, and password. You will also receive an email confirming your account. To log in to CompClass, return to www.yourcompclass.com.
