CANOE CAMPING CHECKLIST FOR OVERNIGHT TRIPS
Use this checklist to ensure that you will not forget any important items and as a guide to lightweight backpacking. Many of the items on this checklist are indicated as being optional and when packing, they should be considered, but only taken along if really needed. PLEASE ASK TO BORROW if you do not have some of these items.
Using this list, a fully loaded weekend pack should weigh no more than 12kg (27 lbs). All food & equipment for a week long trip would weigh no more than 16 kg - 19 Kg, depending upon the food you carry. If your pack weighs more, take everything out & make sure its essential.
