TERM 3, 2012

THE END OF TERM 3 IS APPROACHING!

What a fun filled term it has been so far. All of our teachers are thrilled with the creativity and energy children are bringing to each class. I amalso very proud of our wonderful teachers, who are helping to bring out the creativity in their students and ensuring that everyone is achieving their best in each lesson. Feedback we have been receiving is that many parents are also very happy with the enthusiasm and dedication that our teachers show each week. We love hearing your feedback, so please, keep it coming.

Our students are starting to become excited about what is coming up in Term 4, and well they should be as it will be:

* ACTION *

Yes! Term 4 is Year End Production time, and anticipation in Academy classes is running high! Teachers will be giving their classes interesting clues regarding theplays, but of course, we will keep some surprises for next term! From the beginning of Term 4, all classes will rehearse for their very own year end play. Students will have lots of fun using the skills they have learnt through our programme to prepare their plays, and will also learn lots more during the term. Our plays are written to involve the whole class and include a wonderful opportunity for children to show their friends and family members just how much they can achieve! We can’t wait to help create special memories for your children during our production term! (See inside for dates of shows.)

Don’t miss out on a place for Term 4’s plays.

Creating Special Memories

Our students all look forward to taking part in their year-end play. The delight in their faces as they come off the stage after a performance says it all!

We believe our plays are so important to teach young people a sense of commitment.

Therefore, I urge you to make every effort to ensure that your child completes Term 4 and gains the benefit of this unique experience as well as a sense of pride and achievement.

Our Focus for Next Term

As well as ensuring that our students enjoy the fun and creativity of working on a “real play”, we also aim, in Term 4, to help students develop:

A sense of commitment;

seeing the year through to

a finished product

ACHIEVEMENT CERTIFICATES

For every full year attended, our students receive an Achievement Certificate. These are presented at the end of Terms 2 and 4. The following students are due to receive their certificates at the Year End Shows. If for any reason you believe your child should be receiving an Achievement Certificate, and his or her name is not on the list, please phone Principal, Justin Lowson, immediately! To avoid disappointment at the shows, if your child is not due a certificate this term, please explain to them when they will receive theirs!
