Operator Safety Training Program – UPDATE!!!
Starting is 2008 the Operator/Safety Training course will be split into two classes:
1. Introduction to Operator Safety Training Course Fee - $750
- Class is designed for the new dealership Operator Safety Trainers.
- Will provide recommended course presentation and materials
- Class I – V product walk-arounds and explanations of lift truck systems and operation
- Information and training on OSHA, ANSI regulations and resources as they pertain to operating lift trucks
2. Operator Safety Training Workshop No cost (Starting in 2008)
- Designed as a refresher/update after taking “Introduction to Operator Safety Training”
- Training on presentation skills and class management which will include making a short presentation chosen from the course material
- Round table discussions on:
· Marketing operator safety training
· Review of current/new OSHA regulations
· Classroom management
A new “Operator Safety Training” brochure was be sent out the end of January 2008 to all dealers.
TWO NEW Courses offered!!
Transmission Inspection Repair – 2 days
· This is a new “hands-on” course geared toward the shop technicians involved with drive train repairs and is not a required course for certification at this time.
· Majority of class time will be spent in the shop disassembling and inspecting the current lift truck transmissions
· Prerequisites:
o T140 General Product Toyota Engines
o T350 Hydraulic Systems / Powertrain
ECS (Electronic Engine Control Systems) – Part 2 – 2days
· This course will cover:
o 8-Series fuel system updates
o 8-Series IC lift truck wiring diagrams
o IMPCO Spectrum fuel management system now used in the large capacity (D700) lift trucks
· Course is a Gold level requirement.
· Prerequisites:
o T140 General Product / Toyota Engines
o T200 Electrical Systems & Theory
o T250 IC Chassis Electrical Diagnosis
o T470 ECS
Toyota Certified Trainer Work Shops to continue in 2008
The seminars are designed for:
n New TCT instructors to learn how the course is taught and understand the material being presented
n Current TCT instructors who have not taught a given course and/or not experienced in the material covered in the course
n TCT instructors to observe the teaching techniques of other instructors
n TCT instructors to learn the latest technology
n The Technical Services Department to inform the TCT instructors on the latest diagnostic techniques and repair information pertaining to the class material and subject(s)
