SHOW RULES
By entering any of the classes, the rider/owner will agree to follow the rules of the show highlighted below-
- All entries to have 3rd party liability insurance and to be responsible
- Entry details will only be changed if horse or rider is unable to compete (the original horse or rider must still compete to be valid)
- Riding hats must be to the correct British standard
- No horse or pony shall compete under saddle, under 4 years of age
- In hand classes are open to all ages
- Riders ages are taken from the 1st Jan 2017
- The judge’s decision is always final. Any complaints should be given to a committee member within one hour in writing, accompanied by £20 deposit, refundable if the complaint is upheld.
- The committee has the right to amend, amalgamate or divide classes
- No refunds can be made
- The committee can refuse entry, or can insist on disqualification
- Warming up will only take place in the designated practice ring
- Under 16’s must be supervised by a responsible adult
- It is the owners/riders responsibility to ensure no horse is over competed and welfare compromised
- No water is available on site so please bring your own
- No cheques accepted without a valid bankers cash.Cash payment only on day
- During the lunch break or as required for individual ringsanother judge may, deputise for the stated judge, at the rings discretion.
- The committee accept the right to limit the number of riders in show jumping class or change the class to a timed class depending upon entry
- T.J Read Farriers will be in attendance
The organisers of the event have taken every reasonable precaution to ensure the health and safety of everyone present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent accidents occurring and must obey the instructions of the organisers and all the Officers and Stewards.
Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers or anyone to whom they are in the lay responsible, neither the organisers of this event or the Waveney Harriers Branch of the Pony Club or the owners of the venue or any other agent, employee or representative of these bodies accepts liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, cars, and their contents or accessories or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract of in any way whatsoever.
This show is affiliated to the British Ridden Heavy Horse Society.
The highest placed registered Shire, Clydesdale, Suffolk or Percheron in an affiliated ridden heavy horse class to qualify for the BRHHS Championship, qualification to go down no lower than third place.
Kilmannan Championship Equifest Qualifier
Qualifying horses are entitled to compete in the final of the Kilmannan Ridden Heavy Horse Championship to be held at Equifest on the weekend of 9-13th August 2017
Think Pink Qualification
The winner of each class (Ridden Flat and In Hand) will qualify for the Think Pink Diamond finals held on 2nd September 2017 at GWC Equestrian Centre, Wingfield, Suffolk. You do not have to qualify to compete at this show. Further details are available at
The Sunshine Tour is afun and exciting National Championship Series for unaffiliated and amateur competitors of all ages and abilities. The Championships are held on the ‘hallowed turf’ of The All England Showground at Hickstead from Thursday 14th – Sunday 17th September 2017.
The Championship features: Show Jumping from 30cm to 1.05m for minis, juniors & seniors; Showingfor lead rein, first ridden, in-hand, ridden, working hunter, veterans, plus many more.
