PURPOSE OF THE POST
· In support of the growth plans at Futures Advice Skills & Employment Ltd the role of Business Engagement Manager will need to be self-managing and highly motivated with an ability to engage and secure new employer clients through a variety of business development approaches.· Previous experience working in a similar role is essential as identifying effective workforce training solutions that address an employer’s current and future workforce skills and recruitment needs will be crucial to the roles success.
· A key aspects of the role will be contributing to the ongoing development of the Futures Services to Business brand and reputation with an emphasis on promoting our commercial services which include an apprenticeship recruitment employment and workforce development offer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Lead in the proactive promotion of Futures Services to Business.
· Achieve individual targets in line with the annual business plan and team KPI’s
· Generate new business activity via business calls, presentations and face to face meetings and where required compile proposals and presentations.
· Provide advice to employers ensuring they are fully aware and understand the opportunities and impact of the Apprenticeship reforms; maximising new business opportunities arising from the discussions.
· Undertake detailed skill needs audits/analysis in conjunction with employers to identify effective solutions in relation to the employer’s recruitment employment & skills development needs
· Advise employers on available government funding / grants that support the skills development of existing and new staff.
· Contribute to the business planning and profiling of recruitment and training provision taking into account local and regional labour market information and the changing demographic of workforce training needs.
· Undertake H&S assessments of employer premises prior to the commencement of any training activity
· Attend appropriate networking and employer events to develop new opportunities this may require you to work early mornings and evening.
· Maintain effective relationships with all internal colleagues to ensure service are delivered to an excellent standard that will maximise opportunities to provided added value programmes and services.
· Demonstrate up to date understanding of all government contracts content and eligibility relating to workforce skills
· Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of new apprenticeship reforms; apprenticeship standards and funding methodologies to ensure the advice delivered on behalf of Futures Services to Businesses and stakeholders is relevant, and of an expert level.
· Proactively contribute to meetings bring idea; relevant positive and negative feedback to ensure the continuous improvement and relevance of Futures services
· Provide weekly reports on your performance in an accurate and timely manner
· Undertake the role as a Futures Ambassador

Experience of working with employers to development workforce development plans across funded and commercial income streams. / * / *
