NAIFA Elects 2009 New Board of Directors
Chicago, IL – The National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers (NAIFA) recently elected three officers and five members to the board of directors. Those elected will assume their positions on Jan. 1, 2009.
John S. Marrazzo, IFAS, was elected to the Executive Committee as the 2009 national president. He succeeds Mike Orman, IFAS, who will now serve as past national president.L. Wayne Mayo, IFA, was elected president elect. Other members elected to the Committee include:Monica L. Trotter, IFA,national secretary and Chuck Blau, IFAC, national treasurer.
National directors werealso elected to serve on the board of directors; they includeCarol Ames, IFA – 3year term, Prosper Buchhart, IFAC– 3 year term, Mark Evans, IFAS– 3 year term, Randy Shervey, IFA–3 year term, and Robert Luciani, IFA– 2 year term.
Additionally,Terry Evans, IFAS, was elected to the Education and Research Trust Committee. The Education and Research Trust provides funding and support to NAIFA’s educational offerings.

Marrazzo, who has been an NAIFA member for 18 years, most recently served as the NAIFA’s President Elect. He has held several leadership roles at the national level as well as serving as Chapter President of both the New Jersey South Chapter and the Camden, New Jersey Chapter. Additionally, Marrazzo has been the recipient of the Paul A Wetzel Outstanding Service Award, 2004; National Appraiser of the Year Award, 2003; National Instructor of the Year Award, 1998; and the National Membership Recruitment Award, 1997. Outside of his work at the Association, Marrazzo is the Co-Founder of the Real Estate Appraisal Collection, CamdenCountyCollege library and 2000 recipient of the New Jersey Joint Legislative Community Service Award.
The National Association of Independent Fee Appraisers was founded in 1961 as a non profit professional association of real estate appraisers. Today, our association has chapters throughout the United States and Canada, and we continue to grow both in number and stature.
