Adjourn / 1. Admin. Ranger Penney Avenue funding through WA State Legislature is tagged with Federal funds. We are still waiting on the request for Federal Reclassification it has been 2 months it can take up to 3 months.
2. Advertising for Preliminary Engineering and Construction Engineering services has been done.
3. Section 106 process, APE.
1. Going through the SEPA process on West Naches Utility Extension. The appeal period ended 6/12/2012 and no response was received.
2. Loan agreement with the Town of Naches and Yakima County are completed.
3. Estimate for project is August.
1. Engineer’s selection process through WSDOT.
2. Plans to be ready for TIB funding cycle.
3. Additional STP (RTPO) process has changed.
1. An Agreement with Mt Adams Investments and the Town of Naches in regards to the (SIED) is not to be signed until the purchase is final.
2. Bids off small works roster applications for the West Naches utility extension project will be done.
3. SEPA completed.
4. Staff would like to ask Council to continue the meeting until July 17th 2012 to approve construction contract.
• The Town of Naches is still waiting for the Audit
exit meeting, about 3 weeks ago staff provided
everything the Auditors had asked for to complete
the fraud investigation.
• Yakima County Franchise agreement was originally
NoaNet. Yakima County infrastructure installation
is taking over the franchise process.
• Upper Valley Rally (Night in Naches, 5k run, car
show, bike race, BBQ contest and apple bin races)
status report given.
• 2012 work schedule.
• Allan Bros/ Short plat office complex to break
ground sometime this week to start building their
new office.
• Records retention was discussed.
• Grant application for Pedestrian and Bicycle
Program was discussed.
• Grant applications for RMSA Loss Control Program
was discussed.
General Maintenance and irrigation maintenance update.
Lion’s Club shelter project by the Depot is being done. Tile on Art Deco building has been completed. Working on Band/stand and Town hall.
Clerk/Treasurer Birrueta informed Council that the month of June is balanced.
Staff provided the Voucher report to Council and reviewed the list.
Council reviewed the consent agenda.
Councilwoman Hawver brought up that Naches will be hosting the Swim team championships the last weekend of July and the event will be taking place at the Naches Applewood Park. They are expecting from 1500 to 1600 people to come through Town that weekend.
With no further business to discuss at the Council Study Session, the meeting was adjourned 6:56 pm.
