Profile
Royal International School is Located in 6th of October City . It is a satellite city and part of the urban area of Cairo , Egypt , 32 km ( 20 miles ) outside Cairo itself . It has a population ranging between some 185,000 in the city to an estimated 500,000 inhabitants in the wider area .It also hosts Egyptian students and students from the Gulf and Palestinian territories , who study at its private universities like MisrUniversity for science and Technology , Modern Sciences and Arts University , Nile University , October 6 University (O6U) and Zewail City of Sciences and Technology . 6thof October City is at large is an industrial and technological community which , hosts one of the largest industrial zones in Egypt on which the entire city is established . In addition , the smart village Egypt located on the Cairo - Alexandria road just 10 km from Royal International School (RIS) , it accommodates multinational and local companies , governmental and financial organizations , educational institutions and research & development centers , business parks as well as variety of other IT products offered by Oracle , Dell , Microsoft , Raya … etc. The smart village multipurpose ecosystem are built on quality , collaboration and trust to the satisfaction of all stakeholders in the community , especially the educational institutes , which give the opportunity for the RIS students and staff to get benefit from any program .
The Royal International School had been established in 2002 with only one building for the national Egyptian system . In 2006 , the school campus included two buildings one for the national Division and the other is for the International Division .
The Royal International American School is dedicated to providea high quality American education program and services in order to help the students attain their full potentialacademically , socially and physically . In order to achieve this goal ,thisis for the school to be able to start the teacher professional development .
The Royal international American School holds an administrative team for the American Division that consists of a Head of School , Academic Principal , guidance counselor , behavior specialist , 19 teachers . All teachers are certified and highly qualified by definition of state mandates . All of them hold a bachelor's degree and five possess post-graduate diplomas in Education . The support staff includes an office manager , school secretary , media and technology specialist , two paraprofessionals , three food service workers . The current student enrollment is about 75 students in grades tenth through twelfth . The class capacity is 25 students per class . The school buildings occupy 40% of the total area of the land leaving a spacious area for playgrounds and sports courts . In addition , the school also has an indoor gymnasium as well as safe interactive play facilities to cater for the different age groups and promote the physical development of the school community . Moreover , the school cafeteria offers students and teachers balanced meals . All school buildings are equipped with a fire escape and follow international health and safety standards .
The classrooms are spacious , bright , well ventilated , air-conditioned . They are equipped with state of the art smart boards and data shows . Each classroom has one laptop to accommodate for inquiry-based and problem-solving learning activities . Classrooms are furnished with square tables and movable chairs to facilitate group work and cooperative learning activities .

Student Discipline Regulations
1 - School day starts at 8:00 am and ends at 2:30 pm. No students are allowed to enter the school after 8:15 am. The school is not responsible for students who are outside school after 8:15 am.
- All the students must attend the morning line daily.
2 - Tardiness :
Action : a. Student and parent vow that the action will not be repeated.
- The student with frequent tardiness will be suspended from 1 to 3 days .
3 - Dropping some classes during the school day :
Action : a. Student and parent vow that the action will not be repeated .
b. Student with repeated action will be suspended from 1 to 5 days.
c. School will consider depriving the student from the final exam in case of exceeding
the limited absence days .All students are required to attend school for 180
instructional days per school year.
4 - Neglecting assignments and forgetting equipment :
Action : a. Parent vows that the action will not be repeated .
- Some of behavior marks will be omitted .
5 - Cutting school :
Action : a. Student will be suspended from 1 to 3 days .
b. Parent vows that the action will not be repeated .
c. If repeated , student will be suspended for 15 days .
d. If repeated , student will be dismissed permanently and the Educational
Administration will be informed .
6 - Damaging properties or writing on walls or buses (breaking doors or windows or desks or chairs or electrical appliances:
Action : a. Student will pay for the damages , repair it and will be suspended from 3 to 5 days .
b. Parent vows that the action will not be repeated .
c. If repeated , student will be suspended for 15 days .
7 - Students without complete uniform won’t be allowed to enter the school .
8 - All kinds of accessories or make up are forbidden .
9 - Using mobiles during the school day :
Action : a. Student will be suspended for 1 day and parent vows that theaction will not be
repeated .
b. If repeated , student will be suspended for 3 days and the device will be seized
till the end of the quarter .
10 - Aggressive behavior and disorder in halls and playground inside or outside school :
Action : a. Parent vows that the action will not be repeated .
b. Student will be suspended from 3 to 5 days .
11 - Aggressive behavior towards students and physical abuse :
Action : a. Student will be suspended for 1 day and parent vows and an apology will be
offered for the offended .
b. If repeated , student will be suspended for 15 days .
12 - Theft and steeling others’ properties :
Action : a. Parent will be called up and restore the loot .
b. Student will be suspended from 1 to 3 days .
13 - Misbehavior with school staff :
Action : a. Parent & student vow and student will be suspended from 1 to 3 days.
b. If repeated , student will be suspended for 15 days .
14 - Exam cheating :
Action : a. Issuing a report by the head of committee, calling up the parent and omitting the marks of the exam .
b. If repeated , student will be deprived from the rest of the exams.
15 - Undermining the national sovereignty by disrespecting the flag or not performing the National Anthem :
Action : a. Parent vows that the action will not be repeated .
b. If repeated , student will be suspended for 15 days .
16 - Using bad names or writing them :
Action : a. Parent vows and student will be suspended for 3 days .
b. If repeated , student will be suspended for 15 days .
17 - Students are not allowed to leave during the school day without parent accompany , unless its an emergency and it should be with an official letter . Leaving with phone calls are not allowed .
18 - Parents meeting will be in the administration from 9 to 1 .
