  • Need to start recruiting volunteers
  • Reminder to everyone that we need to start talking to dive shops and vendors about prizes
  • Joy to contact Big Blue
  • Rick to follow up with Brie about vendors from Sea Rovers- need to confirm these
  • Rick to remind Dan to ask the restaurant that they stop at on the dry dive
  • If you will be going to a dive shop / vendor add the information to the google doc
  • Bring donated items to the July board meeting
  • Joy to send out sponsor forms
  • Uma to email Dive Site Coordinators from last year
  • Steve to open up registration now with site names but site coordinators TBD and will add
Reminder that if not diving day of the event will need REEF survey number and must be max one week prior to the event
  • There will be enough laptops available for divers to enter their own data

  • U Haul- $168
  • Food - $558
  1. Maura made a motion to spend $170 on the U Haul - Bob seconded the motion. All in favor, zero opposed
  1. Uma made a motion to spend $700 on food for the GAFC – Maura seconded the motion. All in favor, zero opposed
  1. Steve made a motion to offer $150 to have someone do the perishable food prep and cook for the day – Joy seconded the motion. All in favor, zero opposed.
  1. 6/27 is the next Aquarium event
  • We should talk about the dive club but if asking for us to identify fish – refer them to aquarium staff
  • Maura suggested that we have business cards printed
  • Discussed options (trifold, bookmark or rack card) to go in the Aquarium Membership Brochures. We agreed that the bookmark would be best
  • Bob suggested that we have Dive Club Ambassadors that can help at Aquarium events
  • Lace, who is the Volunteer Coordination will send the board information about Blue Service and we can post a link on our website
  • Joy suggested a Volunteer section on our website where we post when we need

  1. Other things discussed
  • Maura advised there is no option to add the dive club if renew on the mobile app. Bob to bring the up to membership at the Aquarium
  • Current budget – approximately $3500
  • Steve to send out email blast with reminders about GOT dive and asking for GAFC volunteers
