6th Grade Earth Science – Solar System Project Due: ______, 2018

With this project, you will be creating a model of our solar system. The following elements must be included:

  1. Name of planet planets
  2. Order / number from the sun
  3. Size relative to Earth
  4. Surface features
  5. Atmospheric features (temperature should be included here)
  6. Relative distance from the Sun
  7. Ability to support life
  8. Number of moons, or rings

You may create a poster, a PowerPoint presentation, or other graphicmodel, but a 3D model is preferred. Be creative, but be sure to have the important information

(1-8 above) in your project. You will also be presenting your project to the class, no matter what type of project you create. The following rubric will be used for grading:
