The program is open to any prospective applicant, residing in California or Hawaii who is an American Citizen, planning to pursue an eligible vocational/technical (voc/tech) course, above and supplemental to high school or preparatory school level. A high school diploma or equivalent is not required. Eligibility: The program is open to male and female applicants and will be judged on an equal basis. While graduating high school seniors may apply, it is not limited to high school students. It is open to all prospective students who require training or retraining to compete in the workplace. The Vocational Grant is for one year only, with an option to renew for one additional year. Eligibility: For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by evaluated the essays that are submitted. Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible. Komen College Scholarship program

In 2001, Komen established the college scholarship program to help students who would find attending college to be a significant financial burden due to the loss of a parent or guardian to breast cancer or their own breast cancer diagnosis at age 25 or younger. The award is a generous scholarship of $10,000 a year for up to four years to attend a state university in pursuit of a baccalaureate degree. Scholarship recipients are selected based on scholastic achievement, community service, financial need and demonstrated leadership potential. Eligibility: Must have lost a parent/guardian to breast cancer OR Must be a breast cancer survivor diagnosed at 25 years or younger. Must be a high school senior, college freshman, sophomore or junior. Must have a high school and/or college GPA of 2.8 on a 4.0 scale. Must be no older than 25 years old by May 2012.
