Tivoli as a company and workplace

Tivoli A/S is a private business. But Tivoli is also a cultural institution with a history dating back to 1843 and many Danes consider Tivoli as a community within Danish cultural life. With its starting point in history and the broad product range that guests are offered, Tivoli is a brand with great vitality, which positions itself among the largest in the country.

Tivoli earns its money from a number of activities, where admission fees and entertainment are the most important. Overall, they make up more than half of all revenue. The other half comes from its restaurants, amusement arcades, concert and theatre productions and rental income.

Listed company
Tivoli A/S is a listed company, traded on Nasdaq OMX Nordic. Skandinavisk Holding A/S owns 31.8 % of the share capital and Christian AugustinusFabrikker owns 25.4%, while the rest of the capital is spread over approximately 19,000 shareholders. Tivoli has a unique position in this regard in that the majority of shareholders do not hold shares to make money but to own a little part of Tivoli, reflecting Tivoli's special status as a piece of cultural property.

Constantly under development
Tivoli is constantly developing new projects. When the gardens open for the summer season on 11 April 2013, they will feature a newly built 1,200m2 entertainment area in The Merry Corner. After several successful seasons with inspiration from the exotic East and Russia, this year we will look to domestic latitudes, creating in the garden's only corner a universe with 3 new rides and a 600m2 extension of the Gardens, which will give children, the young and the curious the opportunity to experience the sun, moon and stars. The Merry Corner's design is based on the Danish astronomer Tycho Brahe's universe from the Renaissance in the 1500s.

Mission and vision
Tivoli's mission statement is ”we wish to enchant our guests” and its vision is ”we will position ourselves as a leading international experience brand”. Both are based on high quality and great commitment. Quality and commitment on all levels and in all areas of our company are the prerequisites for an extraordinary service experience for Tivoli's guests. For happy guests you need happy staff.

Proud staff
In 2012, Tivoli Denmark came 4th in the Great Place to Work ™ Best Large Workplace category in the annual employee satisfaction survey. Such a title is testament to the pride, respect and great community spirit of Tivoli staff.

All in all, around 3,000 people work at Tivoli during the season. Tivoli's employees are mixed and unique.
