Welcome to our ‘Road to Recovery’ Programme, we hope you find the information helpful in learning how Richmond Fellowship supports people with mental health issues in Thanet.
The support we offer may include any or all of the following:
An opportunity to meet on a one-to-one basis with a Community Link Worker developing your personalised support and recovery plan
- Access our ‘Road to Recovery’ workshops and courses, which include:
*Positive Thinking *Assertiveness *Effective Communication *Anxiety Management and finally
Making Every Moment Count
- Information about and sign-posting to other services and activities available in the community, including social and leisure activities, education and training
- Support to develop a fulfilled and healthy social life; to make new friends; to regain confidence; to improve self-esteem and to learn new skills

Anxiety Management Mini – In this workshop, we condense the core aspects of our 4 week Anxiety Management Course into one, easy to digest,mini session.
Problem Solving – Discover different approachesdesigned to help you address problems in a constructive and productive way.
Resilience – Resilience is capacity to recover quickly from difficulties. This workshop covers practical strategies and tools to encourage mental and emotional resilience.
Making Healthy Choices – Learn more about nutrition, exercise and how to incorporate healthy choices into your everyday life.

Peer Mentor Focus Group
We hold bi-weekly meetings with our volunteer Peer Mentors to discuss current workshops, fundraising, community events and new workshop development. To attend these meetings is it necessary to have completed the Richmond Fellowship ‘Peer Mentor’ Training Course. For details of the next available course, please ask your Community Link Worker
Speak Up CIC User Forum ‘Drop In’ at Richmond Fellowship, Margate
User Forums are held at our Richmond Fellowship premises in Margate fortnightly. Anyone with Mental Health experience can ‘DROP IN’, speak to a representative of SpeakUpCIC and pass on their experience of mental health services in Thanet.

Peer Led Activities
Peer Mentor Led Creative Workshop
This workshop is run by our Volunteers and all forms of creative activity are welcome! Be it sewing, painting, colouring, sketching, knitting or craft work! We have some materials available but feel free to bring your own projects/supplies for own use
Friday Social Group
Fridays from 10.30am – 12pm, ‘The Friends of Richmond Fellowship’ meet at the Elm’s Club Ramsgate to socialise, play pool or partake in the Sign Language Course hosted by one of our volunteers. If you are interested in attending, let a member of staff know to ensure one of our Peer Mentors is available to greet you.
