This meeting was called to order by Mayor Allan Lowe at 6:15 p.m.

PRESENT: Mayor Allan Lowe, Mayor Pro Tem Andy O’Riley Council Members: Melissa Klos,

Michael Sutton, Mirelda Sanchez Tokarczyk, Amber Weerstra, and Kevin Wisniewski

ABSENT: None

STAFF: City Manager Jared Olson, City Attorney Matt Mills, Police Chief David Boone,

City Clerk/Interim Treasurer Amy VanderLeest and DPW Supervisor David Geyer

Council Member Weerstra moved to approve the Consent Agenda. This motion was supported by Mayor Pro Tem O’Riley and carried.

2017-156 NEW BUSINESS

7A. P.A. 51 MDOT Annual Employee Compensation Certification

Council Member Wisniewski moved to approve the Hard Cap option as set forth by the State Treasury in compliance with PA 51 of 2015 and authorize City staff to sign and submit the certification to MDOT. This motion was supported by Mayor Pro Tem O’Riley and carried.

7B. Fordham Park Declaration of Notice

Mayor Pro Tem O’Riley moved to approve the Declaration of Notice and authorize City staff to finalize and record the document with the Muskegon County Register of Deeds. This motion was supported by Mayor Pro Tem O’Riley and carried.

Mary DeHollander, 1043 Amherst Rd., shared she is looking for volunteers to help put together a Holiday Light Event for early December 2017.

Bev McLaughlin, 2820 Westland Rd., shared police department concerns.

Jim Maynard, 3037 Roosevelt Rd., asked for specifics to the police department concerns.

Bruce Hekkema, 1370 W. Summit Ave., shared comments regarding Roosevelt Park ‘Taste of the Trucks’ Day 2017.

Terri Hurley, 3019 Westland Rd., shared current road construction concerns.

Richard Coutchie, 3261 Hanley Rd., shared fireworks complaints.

Donna Coutchie, 3261 Hanley Rd., shared fireworks complaints and dangers.

Ron Micka, 1512 Garrison Rd., shared parking enforcement concerns.

Council Member Weerstra moved to adjourn the meeting at 7:20 p.m. This motion was supported by Council Member Klos and carried unanimously.
