2. On the new line, click on the cell in the Pay Code Column, and select a pay code from the drop-down menu.
3. Click on the cell in the Amount Column and enter the appropriate hours or amount.
4. Click outside the amount cell or press [Enter] and the cell will be populated.
To delete a row:
Click the [Delete Row] button on the line you wish to delete.
Override a Punch
Employee work rules specify if daily In or Out punches require an automatic lunch deduction. To override this deduction, complete the following steps.
1. Right-click on the appropriate In punch and select [Edit Punch]. The Edit Punch Dialog Box will appear:
2. In the Override field, select the new punch type. In this example, we would select ‘MMC-30 min Lunch-6hr.
3. Click [OK].
Save Changes to a Timecard
Edits to an employee timecard are not automatically saved. Upon completing the edit, you must save all changes.
· In the Menu bar, click the [Save] button and the timecard will be saved with the new changes.
Omit Changes to a Timecard
· Click on [Action] and [Refresh]. Changes you have not saved will be discarded and the saved timecard displayed.
Print a Single Timecard
· Click on [Action] and [Print].
Approve a Single Timecard
· From the timecard, in the Menu Bar, click on [Approvals]; then select [Approve].
Return to Employee List
· In the Navigation Bar, click [QuickFind].
HELP
Scroll to the bottom of the Genies in the Navigation bar and click HELP to display the Kronos dictionary or encyclopedia. The displayed screen is in addition to the screen you are working with. You can exit the HELP screen by clicking [File] and [Close] in the Browser Toolbar or click [X] in the upper-right corner of the HELP screen. You will not disrupt the workspace you’ve been working with.

Getting Started
Upon entering the Kronos application, you must specify WHO and WHAT you want to view. (First things first)
In the Header section:
1. Enter an Employee Name, ID or select a Group from the drop-down menu in the Name or ID field.
If you wish to display all employees you have access to, skip the Name or ID field as the system will default to “ALL”.
2. Click on the drop-down menu in the Time Period field and select the period you wish to view.
3. Click [Find] in the Header section or press [Enter].
The Workspace section will display the employee or group of employees you selected above.
View a Timecard
1. Highlight an employee in the workspace by clicking on the record.
Locate the [LAUNCH] buttons: Timecard, Schedule, People, and Reports
2. Click on the [Timecard] launch button.
The highlighted employees timecard or schedule will be displayed.
Note: You can double-click on the highlighted employee and by default, their timecard will be displayed.
The timecard will display all in and out punches made by the employee as well as any manual entries in the Pay Code and Amount fields made by the manager or timekeeper.
Edit a Timecard
Enter a Missed In or Out Punch:
· Click on the cell displayed in solid red.
· Enter the missed in or out time; 7a, 7am, 7:30 am
· Press [Enter].

Note: A red outline indicates the punch is an exception. It indicates a late or early punch and usually does not correspond with the schedule,.
Add a Comment:
1. Right-click on the In or Out punch in need of a comment. Click [Add Comment] and a drop-down menu will appear.
2. Scroll through the list of comments and click on your selection.
3. Click [OK]. The In or Out punch will now contain a small black box in the upper-right corner indicating the punch has a comment attached.
4. Click on the [Comment] tab in the Total section to display the comment.
Enter a Pay Code with Hours or Amount:
All pay codes must reside on a line by itself. If a line is needed, do the following:
1. Click on the [Insert Row] button next to the date where the pay code is needed and a new line will be inserted.
