The Fluvanna County Sheriff’s Office has arrested three individuals on multiple charges that involve Burglary and Breaking and Entering of commercial businesses within the county. They are currently charged with offenses that involve a storage facility which several units were broken into in the Fork Union area and a former restaurant in Palmyra. These crimes took place on May 19, 2010 during the late to early morning hours.
The Sheriff’s Office received information that suspicious activity was taking place at the storage facility and after engaging the individuals a 9 mile vehicle pursuit against the suspects ensued with the driver making several attempts to elude the Deputies causing damage to several Sheriff’s vehicles. The suspects were taken into custody with no personal injuries.
The suspects are also pending charges on several other commercial burglaries within the county that occurred between May 5, 2010 and May 15, 2010. Items taken from these businesses include but not limited to jewelry, computers, musical equipment, knives, hair salon accessories and equipment and other items. Some of these items have been recovered and will be returned to the owners over the next couple of days.
They are being held without bond at Central VA Regional Jail in Orange awaiting a court hearing on Tuesday 25, 2010 in Fluvanna General District Court.
The suspects are:
1. Richard Jason Peppers, 33 yoa from Alabama residing in Fork Union at the Grandstaff trailer park. Charges are:
10 counts Felony Burglary
2 counts Felonious Assault and Battery on a Police Officer
1 count Assault
1 count Felony Eluding
14 Total Felonies
2. Dakota Lee Davis, 18 yoga from Alabama residing in Fork Union at the
Grand staff trailer park. Charges are:
10 Counts Felony Burglary
2 Count Felonious Assault and Battery on a Police Officer
1 Count Assault
13 Total Felonies
3. Tiffani McKee, 27 yoa from Alabama residing in Fork Union at the Grand staff trailer park. Charges are:
10 Counts Felony Burglary
2 Counts Felonious Assault and Battery on a Police Officer
1 Count Assault
13 Total Felonies
