Changes Effective 2012
This target face shows the new scoring disc-marker locations for the shot value.
NSSC will be using this for all NRA high power rifle tournaments.
NOTE
There are only three scoring positions across the bottom of the target, not four
This moves all the score value locations around the face.
The X and 10 positions have not moved from their previous locations.
The 6 is now marked in the same location as the X and
The 5 is now marked in the same location as the 10.
The assumption is that the score keeper can also see the shot spotter and will know whether the shot was an X/10 or a 5/6.
Note that the 8 and 9 space out with the 8 moving to the left corner, and the7 moves up.
A MISSED SHOT is indicated by placing a scoring disc in lower left and lower right corners.

Rifle Matches
The North State Shooting Club is pleased to announce these HPR Matches. Entries in Individual matches are limited to 160 competitors, 3 or 4 relays. Squadding will be available at 07:00 hours on the date of the match, unless otherwise noted.
Range “may” be open for practice on Friday before the match, check the website schedule for times and availability.
The match will be fired in the order listed in the program, unless changed by the match director. Program changes will be posted on the NSSC webpage. The match director may make changes immediately prior to the start of the match. The match director will post a note of the change in the pits. For “over the course” type matches, Relay 3 and 4 will report to the pits, with a change-over after the first and second relay have completed the 300 yd phase. Change over in the NMC Regional will be after the 200 yd phase is completed. Palma matches will change over as indicated in match program. NRA High Power Rules will govern the conduct of the match. Competitors will score and pull targets during the matches (NRA rule 10.5). Current NRA and CMP rules will govern all matches. Competitors may bring their own pullers or hire one, but the competitor will be responsible for the conduct of the puller and operation of the target. Paid pullers will no longer be under the control of NSSC. For 2-day matches, relay 3 and 4 will report to the pits first in the morning on the first day. Relay 1 and 2 will report to the pits first on the morning on the second day.
Please Note:When entering a Long Range Tournament, you must enter and shoot in only one category in all matches for that tournament. If you shoot in any higher category other than indicated on your ENTRY CARD, then that score will not be counted. For example, if you enter in the Palma Rifle category, you must compete in the Palma Rifle category for all matches. You can shoot a Palma Rifle in any match but your scores will be entered in the Any Rifle category as long as you indicated the Any Rifle category on your ENTRY CARD. If you indicated you are shooting Palma Rifle on your ENTRY CARD and you shoot a match with Any Rifle, that score will not be counted. Another example is if you enter in the F/TR category, you must compete in the F/TR category for all matches shooting an F-T/R rifle. If you shoot in F-Open and then shoot an F-T/R rifle, that score will be counted as F-Open. If you enter the F-T/R category on your ENTRY CARD and shoot an F/Open rifle in any match, that score will not be counted.
All Matches
CANCELLATION OF A COMPETITION:In the event that a competition is canceled due to inclement weather, and the competition has already commenced the following will apply. Once an individual match is started there will be no refund for that match. A refund will be prorated for matches that were not started. Shooters will be entitled to a refund minus expenses and the $10 fee paid to the National Guard. Shooters must insure any paid pullers are paid appropriately.
Awardswill be given to the winner of each individual match and one award for each additional 5 competitors or major fraction thereof in a class, (example: 3 shooters pays 1st place, 8 shooters pays 1st & 2nd, 13 shooters pays 1st, 2nd & 3rd place and so on). Less than 3 competitors in a class will be combined into the next higher class. Category awards (Civilian, Police, and Service) will be given if there are at least 3 competitors in a category. A jury will be appointed prior to the beginning of firing in those tournaments requiring it. NOTE: All sighting shots must be fired and scored. NRA classification card must be presented at time of entry, or compete in master unclassified class.
