The Student Government Association of Mt. San Jacinto College met via video conferencing, commencing at 12:30p.m. on September 7, 2010 in Room 500-MVC, and Room 1111-SJC.

A.  Executive Officers’ Reports

1. President: Ana will attend the College Council meeting in Parisa’s place

2. Treasurer: Leslie attended the budget meeting and there is no state budget yet. Reports will be filed

by Sandi.

B.  Senator’s Reports – No reports

C.  Advisor / Staff Support Reports

1.  Donna reminded the Board about the Race for the Cure event on 10/17/10. MSJC will have a team.

2.  Sandi announced she will be off campus on Monday, 9/13/10, and Tuesday, 9/14/10.

D. Members at Large Reports

1. Jose announced that volunteers are needed for electro fishing. Scientists need help counting fish populations in So Cal lakes. Jose provided contact information.

III.  Discussion Items

A.  SGA T-Shirts and Other Apparel-Postponed Until Next Week.

B.  Popcorn Machine (Trolley) and Supplies (approximate cost: $300) for Menifee-Action Item For Next Meeting

C.  SGA Sticker Sales and SGA Sticker card sales-Donna announced locations on campus that sell stickers and we are permitted to sell stickers at our events as well.

D.  Lunch with Ron- 9/16 and 9/23-“celebrate American” Theme. Action Item For Next Week.

E.  Vendor Discount Program-Ana postponed For Two Weeks

F.  Extension of Maximum Number of Members At Large-3 instead of 2 at each campus. Constitution needs revising. Action Item Next Week.

G.  Campus Security-Cameras In Parking Lots-Postponed Until Next Meeting,

H.  Measure U-SGA Endorse New Bond. MSJC President Roger Shultz came to discuss this issue as a private citizen on his lunch break. He discussed what the bond is and provided statistics. There are several ways SGA can endorse this bond. Action Item Next Week.
