Information Sheet
Following the success of the Junior League last season, there will be an U16 League and an U14 League again next season
A Qualifying Tournament for entry into the Junior League will be held on July 9th at Soar Valley Community Centre and the top 8 teams in each age group will form the league for 2017-8
Entry details for the Qualifying Tournament Regional Junior Leagues
- The Qualifying Tournament will be held on 3rd July 2017.
- Entry forms attached – closing date 20thJune 2017. No late entries will be accepted
- Venue: Soar Valley Community Centre, Gleneagles Avenue, Leics. LE4 7GY
- Courts: Outside 10.00 – 4.00 pm t.b.c.
- Open Entry.
- Teams must provide a C Award Umpire
- Teams must provide someone to keep score
- Players and Team Officials must be affiliated to England Netball through a Club or Young Person’s Group
- U16s: Players must be over 14 and under 16 years of age at 31st August2017
- U14s: Players must be over 11 and under 14 years of age at 31st August 2017
- Players may apply for Age Banding
- Clubs may enter more than one team per age group, but each team must have a minimum of 10 players and separate team officials
- Qualifying Tournament Entry fee £40
- The Tournament will be played to INFA (2015)Rules
Additional information about the League
- The format of the league will be 1 hour duration (4 quarters of 15 minutes)
- The league will be played indoors at Soar Valley.
- The eight teams will play each other once.
- The league will be held on Sundays.
- Dates to be confirmed. (Unfortunately there are insufficient free dates on the calendar to avoid clashes with the Regional League or school holidays.)
- U16s: Players must be over 14 and under 16 years of age at 31st August 2017
- U14s: Players must be over 11 and under 14 years of age at 31st August 2017
*unless they have completed the Age Banding Consent Form and submitted it to the Junior League Secretary with the Squad Registration form
- League Entry fee £40 plus court fees £120 payable in two instalments
- League matches will be at 1 pm and 2.30 pm t.b.c.
- Teams to provide a C Award umpire
- Teams will be expected to provide someone to keep the score and time the game for all league matches
- A trophy will be awarded to the winning team in each age group
- The League will be played to INFA (2015) Rules
