JMP Installation Manual

Step 1

Go to the following link:

http://www.sfu.ca/itservices/software/

Select JMP 8 from the list. You must select the operating system (Windows or Mac)

You will be prompted to enter your SFU Id and password.

The following screen will appear:

Now hit the “Download” button to download the software. You will also need to download the “Download License” file as well (deal with this later). Leave the above screen open for now.

The following screen will appear:

Hit “ok”. It should take about 3-5 minutes to download the software. You can select

any software you wish to unzip the file.

The following screen will appear:

Double click on the “JMP 8 Installer” button and the following screen will appear:

Double click the “Launch.exe” file in the above screen

The following window will appear:

Select install JMP 8.

Click “Next” in the following screen:

Select a folder you want to install JMP in or simply click “Next” and let Windows place the software in an appropriate directory:

Click “Next” in the window below:

Finally click “Install” in the screen below:

The following window will appear:

Once complete the following screen will appear:

Hit “Finish” and the JMP icon will appear on your desktop:

Click exit on the above screen

Now you need to download the license file from the IT Services website:

Select “Download License”

The following screen will appear:

And drag the license file to your directory where you want to store the license file.

You can simply drag the file to your desktop.

Double click on the JMP 8 icon on your desktop

The following window will appear:

Select “Open License”:

The following screen will appear, select “open”:

The screen should look like this:

Select “ok”

Hit the “Save” button

And the process is complete.

JMP will appear

You are done!
