QUALIFICATIONS
· Must be educated to a minimum of “A” level standard
· Relevant professional qualifications or memberships

Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate the following:-
Essential characteristics
§ A record of innovation and leadership in the development of corporate relationships to support the delivery of campaigning, services and organisational capacity
§ Demonstrable experience in the design and implementation of income generation activities to support delivery of organisational strategies
§ The capacity to understand and research the interests of potential corporate partners and to develop and present propositions which can attract support, sponsorship and investment
§ Demonstrable skills in the management and development of staff and the development of team working
§ Demonstrable skills in the budgeting and management of financial resources
§ Experience of working within the senior team within an organisation, and with Boards of management
§ Strong communication skills, both orally and in writing, with an ability to communicate at all levels.
§ A positive and professional "can-do" attitude, and the personal flexibility to work in a small but ambitious organisation.
§ Ability to work under pressure and to demanding deadlines, and to prioritise a complex workload
§ Competence in a range of information technology applications, including and understanding and use of relevant software
§ Support for PRIME’s aims and objectives and an ability to respect PRIME’s clients, partners and stakeholders
§ Empathy with people facing disadvantage, and a personal commitment to support individuals to achieve personal independence and aspirations
§ A balanced attitude to risk, recognising the nature of PRIME and its core client group
Desirable characteristics
§ Knowledge of the issues implied by the ageing of our population and experience of working with people facing economic disadvantage
§ Experience of working in a range of organisational sectors
§ Knowledge of charitable organisations and the legal framework within which they are governed and management
§ Experience working with a voluntary Board of Trustees
§ Experience in managing services by volunteers, and an understanding of recruiting, motivating and managing volunteer workforces
§ Understanding of financial reporting standards in the voluntary sector as well as differing legal structures
§ A detailed understanding of the wider funding environment and changing trends in the voluntary sector
BACKGROUND
· Personal circumstances must allow the candidate to work extended hours on occasion during times of peak activity
· The post holder will be based at PRIME’s headquarters, currently at Tavis House, 1 – 6 Tavistock Square, London, WC1H 9NA
· Must live within commuting distance of the current headquarters, Tavis House, 1 – 6 Tavistock Square, London, WC1H 9NA
