Stewards Filled with the Holy Spirit: “The disciples were filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.” ACTS 13:52

Because the disciples heard Our Lord’s call, they were able to spread the Gospel message with strength and vitality. Stewards, too, can experience that same joy if we take time to open our hearts, listen to God, ask for His direction and allow the Holy Spirit to guide our lives and our decisions.

04/10/16 – Collection: $8,972.00 Candles: $208.00

Green Mass: $184.00

Home Mission Collection will be taken next weekend. This appeal works to support home mission dioceses in the U.S. by supporting seminarian formation in poor dioceses. The blessing of seminarians places a financial burden on these dioceses, because educating each seminarian costs $35-40K per year. Your support is needed for these young men so that they might go back and serve their parishes. Please be generous and help strengthen the church at home.

Goal - $104,857.86

Thank you to those donors who have donated to this year’s House of Charity. To date $65,992.50 has been collected from 177 families. If our remaining parish family makes a donation or pledge, we could meet our goal. Please give this some prayerful consideration.

St. Joseph Society

The St. Joseph Society is a group of men dedicated to helping souls and the facilities of St. Padre Pio Parish. It was founded on April 17, 1910 by Fr. Agnello Santagnello, the first pastor of Our Lady of Pompeii Church and is the oldest society in our parish. They serve as the carpenters or repairers, meet monthly, perform projects and assist the pastor in the identification of issues to the physical plant of the parish. They also serve to preserve and upgrade our Grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes and Mt. Calvary. To join the society, make a contribution to the Grotto restoration or the Society, or for more information, please contact the parish office.
