The City of Vesper Is Planning to Buy an Electric Sign, It Will Be Placed in Front of The

Let me start off by apologizing for the confusion last month, I forgot to change the time of the meeting back to the original time of 7:30 PM. So, with that being saidthe next meeting will be held at the Vesper Community Center Thursday,February 8th, 2018 at 7:30 pm. Refreshments will be provided.

The city of Vesper is planning to buy an Electric sign, it will be placed in front of the Municipal building. The foundation is to arouse community interest. They did receive a grant for most of it and have used funds previously donated by others like the Lions Club and Wilderness Sportsman’s club. They still have a little way to go to pay for the sign and are looking for donations. The sign can be used to announce events that are happening area the area like the Legion Chili Feed or our club meetings. We talked about ways that our club can use the sign and a motion was made to donate $100 to go towards the sign.

The Spring Convention will be held in Green Bay on March 23rd-25th, 2018. The cutoff date for booking rooms is March 2, 2018. The phone number for The Radisson Hotel & Conference Center is 1-800-333-3333 or 920-494-7300. The early bird registration deadline is Tuesday, March 6th, 2018 and a $15.00 fee per person is due t the time of registration. The Banquet must be paid in advance and must be received by the AWSC Office by the end of day (4:30 pm) on Tuesday, March 6th. Cost for Banquet is $32.00 for adult-children 10 and under $10.00.Kewaunee County will be hosting a Hospitality Room.

The Wisconsin Department of Tourism (in cooperation with the AWSC) is having a snowmobile sweepstakes running on the website January 19th-February 28th. Go to

Something new this year-Club of the Year!!!!- Clubs can nominate themselves. Nomination paperwork and requirements is available from the AWSC web site due to the office no later than Tuesday, June 5th, 2018. Remember to include pictures and newspaper articles.
