How to connect to the LAN

1. Click on system preferences. Then Click on the Network Preference.

2. You should see a Ethernet tab with a green light next to it. If the light is not green then you need to check your LAN cable and connectivity

3. Under the option Conifgure IPv4 select the option “Manually”

3. Manually enter the IP Address and subnet mask details as per the rules below

Dorm: 18 Room: 17
So my ip address is

Default Gateway
192.168.100+dormnumber.254

Dorm: 18 Room: 17

Preferred DNS

Alternate DNS
192.168.32.7

8. Go to the Advanced section

9. Click on the DNS tab. Enter the IP addresses as per the details.

9. Click on the Proxies tab.

10. Enable the HTTP, HTTPS and FTP proxies.

11. In each of the tab enter the proxy IP address and port 8080

As of now the following options can be used for proxy IP address

192.168.32.1

192.168.32.2

192.168.32.3

192.168.32.4
